The Cougar Times

The Cougar Times is the student newspaper of Horace Mann. The team consists of high school students in the Newspaper class. Students are responsible for generating news and feature article ideas, conducting interviews with school community members, writing and editing articles, selecting photos, and laying out the newspaper using a publishing software. In addition to writing and software skills, students learn about journalism guidelines and ethics. The Cougar Times is printed and distributed free of charge to the school community.
