HMS students participate in MIT Edgerton Center's STEAMED workshop

This fantastic hands-on STEAM experience tailored for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students gave them the opportunity to build underwater ROVs, gain valuable skills in circuits, motors, and frame construction. At the end of the course, students tested their robots in a pool.

Class of 2024 Meets with the Executive Director of Deaf, Inc.

On their last day of school, HMS graduating seniors had a special visit from Darian Gambrell at Deaf Inc. Our soon-to-be Class of 2024 alumni had an enriching discussion about their future plans, and learned about the fantastic services and support that Deaf Inc.

Horace Mann School first graders visit MBTA training center to learn about transportation

HMS students learned about public transportation on a decommissioned train, bus, and trolley - away from all the bustle of commuters. Visits like this are crucial to learning, as it takes what happens in the class and applies it to a real live experience.
