The Edward M. Kennedy Academy for Health Careers is a small, academically rigorous learning community for students who express an interest in the health professions. Kennedy Academy supports students as they develop the academic, social, and personal skills they will need to succeed in higher education and in health care careers. Individual guidance and support help each student set high expectations for personal achievement.

In 2010, our school was renamed in honor of the late US Senator Edward M. Kennedy.  Senator Kennedy imagined a future of educational excellence for all children, as well as health care and economic opportunity for all families. Because of his lifetime of public service, we are closer to these goals now than we have ever been.  The staff and students of the Kennedy Academy work each day to realize the future he imagined for all of us.

• A safe high school with a strong college preparatory curriculum focused on the health, math, English, world language, science, history, and technology courses that students need to succeed in college and in the health professions
• Students experience the college campus of Northeastern University: our students can use university science and computer labs, libraries, and other resources

• 57% of the teaching staff dual certified in content area and special education
