Efrain Toledano
Elementary School Superintendent Region 6
Mr. Efrain Toledano has been a part of the Boston Public School (BPS) community since 2008. He currently serves as an Elementary School Superintendent for Region 6. Prior to that he was the Principal at the Tobin K-8. While at the Tobin K-8, Mr. Toledano led the Instructional Leadership Team, Climate Team, and School Site Council, all in an effort to advance the school’s academic performance. During his time at the Tobin K-8, Mr. Toledano worked with community partners to raise over $750,000 in funding to advance equity work at the school. Mr. Toledano implemented a full-service community school model at the Tobin K-8 and led the school out of transformation status.
Mr. Toledano holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from the University of Massachusetts-Boston. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts-Boston. Mr. Toledano completed the Boston Teacher Residency Program (BTR) and has also served as a Mentor Teacher for BTR. Mr. Toledano is a product of the BPS having attended the Blackstone Elementary, the Edison Middle School, and Snowden High School for his K-12 education. He has also served in the BPS as a high school history teacher and history program director at English High School and an assistant principal at the Dever-McCormack K-8.
