    Kay Seale

    Chief of Specialized Services

    Kay Seale is the Chief of Specialized Services for the Boston Public Schools. She previously served as the Manager of Special Education and Intervention Services for the Worcester Public Schools.

    She is deeply committed to ensuring all students have access to the highest quality public education. As a former BPS student, she understands how educators can play a critical role in a student’s life. Kay’s extensive leadership in special education illustrates her commitment to public education.

    She has served in numerous leadership roles in some of the largest urban school districts in Massachusetts, including Boston, Brockton, and Worcester. She worked in these districts to ensure that students received exemplary, targeted, specially designed instruction based on effective, evidenced-based systems of progress monitoring, data, and accountability. Kay values the importance of working collaboratively with principals, teachers, and school-based teams and families and has implemented district initiatives that foster a continuum of inclusion services for students.

    Kay is a graduate of Boston University and holds an advanced degree in Education Administration from Lesley College.
