Introducing BPS Water Sources Signage
The BPS Facilities Management Department in collaboration with CPLAN, are installing specialized signage, distinguishing water sources designated for drinking from those intended solely for washing purposes. The proposed signage will replace current signage and has considered accessibility to the audience impacted by partial or total blindness as well as to individuals that are not English speakers.
Time to Drink Water!
This sign is located next to newly installed water bottle refill stations across the District as a part of the Drinking Water Access Initiative.
Our students will become familiar with the character holding a water bottle, designed to promote the habit of drinking more water.

This Sink for Hand Washing Only
The This Sink for Hand Washing Only sign is located next to every water sink across the District that is not intended for consumption.
The goal is to more effectively communicate which sources of water are not tested and not approved for consumption and direct users to healthy sources for drinking.
To ensure accessibility, the text will be also provided in Braille code.
